Coastal Collections is an internet based source for used books of all kinds. We started selling online in 2003, after moving to Newport, Oregon with over 200 boxes of books. The desire to "downsize" our personal collection morphed into a 24/7 business in 2004 after we acquired the inventory of a local bookstore that had closed it's doors. We presently have more than 8000 books available for purchase, with an equal number waiting in the wings.
We have very eclectic tastes, and while we don't specialize in any particular genre, you will find some interesting and esoteric titles in the Science category. Fred (the other half of this equation) is a retired college professor with a PhD in comparative physiology. His interests include marine biology, history, and just about anything that explains how things work. Diana is particularly absorbed with needlework crafts, knitting, crocheting, and lace-making. You will find a bounty of
books in our Crafts & Hobbies category.
